Mark's Senior Portraits

Mark was our first senior of the day. We photographed his sister and cousin two years ago. A big "thank you" for thinking about us when it was your turn for portraits. He had a great time and here are a few of his images.

Marlin's Senior Portraits

Okay, this blog thing must be catching on. I decided to go home last night and wait until today to post yesterday's sessions. Bad idea... Marlin (not his mother) called me about an hour ago asking about about his images. It really makes us feel special that our clients get excited about their "sneak preview" before the actual previews come in. So Marlin, here are a few of our favorites. There is one more awesome shot, but Mark has not finished it. When it's done, I'll post it:)

Myneshia's Senior Session

This is Myneshia and she is graduating with my godchild, Brittany. It makes us feel special that her mom would drive just a bit out of the way to have us capture her senior portraits. Once again, lots of laughing and giggling going on in the camera room. Mark got some new reflective umbrella that is huge! I'm talking twice the size of a golf umbrella. It was used during Myneshia's session and did something fancy to the pictures. Take a look!

Kendrick's Senior Session

In this day and time, young adults tend to forget about manners or how to speak when in the presence of adults. Kendrick is not part of that group. From the moment he stepped through our door, all we heard was "yes ma'am or sir" and "no ma'am or sir." His family is to be commended for raising him proper. Here are a few images from his session.

Brittani's Senior Session

Okay, there must be a laughing gas in the camera room. Too much fun is happening during the sessions. This time I went back to see what was going on. Nothing unusual. Brittani and her mom said they had a wonderful time. We actually want everyone to have a memorable experience, relax...and laugh!

Ashton's Senior Session

Ashton comes to us by way of his older sister who took her senior pictures with us four years ago. We love that families enjoy their first experience with us and come back and visit us again. Don't you guys think he looks just a bit like John Legend?

Calandra's Senior Session

There was so much laughing and cutting up during this session that mom stopped working at the computer to see if actual photographing was taking place. Someone even resurrected the radio from its coma. Above are two of my favorites. Calandra brought a great selection of clothing and it always makes our job easier when there is variety.

Jordan's Senior Session

Jordan, his mother and older sister came through the door laughing. We knew they were going to be a fun bunch. His sister is the one that told him to lift his eye brow like "The Rock". We think it came out great. This is turning out to be a great senior season!

LaQunda's Senior Session

I decided to blog early so I can go home at a decent hour tonight. This is LaQunda and she found out about us through the awesome Senior Promotion (shameless plug) we are having. Here are a few images from her traditional session. She and her mother probably think we are all crazy. While they were here, Mark, Sonya and I had a discussion over who ate the last Reese's and drank the last Sprite. Hint: it rhymes with bark!

Coral's Unbelievable Session

Coral's mother came by the studio yesterday and spoke with Sonya. There was a language barrier so we had to have a business neighbor translate. We understood that the session would be of a 15 year old but she would be wearing traditional Asian clothing. So, we assumed a Quinceanera with a twist. Wrong! When Maria came into the door already dressed, we were all like little kids in a candy store. Why...because we knew we were about to have an AWESOME session. It got even better when she pulled a violin out of its case. She plays beautifully and was about to do some work internationally. She has amazing eyes and skin, the camera loved her. I can't wait to see what Mark does to enhance the images. Sonya and I just stared at them trying to figure out which were the best ones. It was so hard for me that I just did "eenie meenie mynie mo" until I had four to post, enjoy!

Cory's Senior Session

Cory came in for a traditional cap and gown session. I have to commend him because most guys come in and do not want to smile for pictures. They want to look all hard. Well, as you can see, Cory has a million dollar smile. His mom was in the camera room while we were shooting his images. But, she was off in the corner and could not see. I told her that we had a special stool for the moms. She said she was fine where she was because she would start crying if she saw him in full cap and gown. How sweet is that?

Brianna's Senior Session

Wow, another second generation Gallery Balthazar senior. This is Brianna and we took her mother's portraits back in 1989. They actually made it a family affair because we took all the aunts' and some of the cousins' as well from various years. We love what we do and get a chuckle out of all the memories!
